Awal Mula Terciptanya Keindahan Batik

Batik adalah seni gambar diatas kain untuk pakaian yang dibuat dengan teknik resist menggunakan material lilin. Kata batik berasal dari bahasa Jawa yang berarti menulis. Teknik membatik telah dikenal sejak ribuan tahun yang silam. Tidak ada keterangan Sejarah yang cukup jelas tentang asal usul batik. Ada yang menduga teknik ini berasal dari bangsa sumeria, kemudian dikembangkan di jawa setelah dibawa oleh pedagang India. Batick, batic, bathik, batik, batique dan batek serta batix adalah dengan sebutan lain kain batik. Saat ini batik bisa ditemukan dibanyak negara seperti Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapura, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka dan Benua Afrika.
Walaupun demikian, batik yang terkenal di Dunia adalah batik yang berasal dari Indonesia. 

Para pembatik tradisional biasa menggunakan bahan kain mori atau kain putih yang dipergunakan dari hasil tenunan sendiri. Kain ini dibuat dari benang kapas.
Permukaannya halus dengan tetal tenunan yang tinggi. Mori yang terhalus adalah primissima, kemudian prima, lalu biru dan terakhir blacu tipis. Namun sesuai dengan perkembangan teknologi pertekstilan maka sekarang terdapat pula bahan dasar batik berupa kain woll dan sutera.  

Teknik batik menyertakan zat pewarna dan kain sebagai obyek. Melalui proses teknis inilah ragam hias ditampilkan pada kain. Adapun ciri khas batik adalah penggambaran corak. Hal ini membutuhkan imajinasi bentuk penggambaran corak.

At this time batik could be found in the many country like Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka and the African Continent. Nevertheless, batik that was famous in the World was batik that came from Indonesia. 

The traditional batik makers normally use the cloth material mori or white cloth that was utilise from results of fabric personally. This cloth was made from the cotton thread. His surface was soft with tetal high fabric. Mori that was softest was primissima, afterwards first-rate, then blue and last blacu thin. However in accordance with the development of technology pertekstilan then now was gotten also the batik base took the form of cloth woll and silk. 

Technically batik enclosed colouring agent and cloth as the object. Through this technical process the style decorated was put forward to cloth. As for the typical characteristics of batik was the drafting of the feature. This needed the form imagination of the drafting.
